Shell commands are predefined operations of the shell itself and standard operations defined in the relevant command files, conforming to the provisions of the BCC/31 communication protocol, thus formally independent of the type of device connected.

The default shell commands are as follows:

Shell management:

CLEAR, clear all contents

TEXT, display text message

SLEEP, suspend command execution

CON[NECT], connect to device

DIS[CONNECT], disconnect from the device

RECON[NECT], re-connect to the device

 

General commands:

E[DIT], open specified file

B[ATCH], execution of command file (batch)

FUNZ, inline internal calculator

NFORMAT, default numeric format

NPREC, default numeric precision

RUN, external program execution

 

Device management:

PING, query communication timings

SYSINFO, query information about connected device

#(direct), execute device commands (directives)

Variable management:

DV, display variable value

SV, set variable value

FV, force variable value

RV, release variable value

VARDEF, variable filter definition

 

Flash management:

FDEL, delete file on flash

FDIR, display flash content

FDISK, flash disk management

FFORMAT, flash formatting

FINIT, flash initialization

FLOAD, upload files to flash

FMEM, display flash information

FREN, rename files on flash

FSAVE, save file from flash

FTREE, display folder structure on flash

FMKDIR, create folder on flash

FRMDIR, delete folder from flash

To obtain information on the device commands, you can use the HELP command: where available, a window will be opened with the relevant documentation available or alternatively information will be displayed in the contents of the shell itself.

The syntax of the command is as follows:
