This command allows you to query and display the contents of folders and files on the flash of the connected device.

Syntax

FDIR [-R][-D][-F][-H][-E][-L][-FQ][-AT|-MT|-CT][<filemask>]

-R

Recursive list of files within any folders indicated by the selection mask

-D

List only folders

-F

Lists only files

-H

Includes hidden files/folders

-E

Display exact size (to the byte)

-L

Dereference symbolic links, i.e., when showing file information for a symbolic link, show information about the file the link refers to rather than the link itself.

-FQ

Qualified name list (complete)

-AT

Displays files/folders with date and time of last access

-MT

View files/folders with date and time of last modification

-CT

View files/folders with date and time of creation

-M

Force display with modern default options

-C

Force visualization with classic default options

<filemask>

Selection mask (with possible wildcards) of folders and/or files on flash.

Annotations:

Until RDE v3.55.1-14, if no option is given, -F and -R options are assumed by default and with / as selection mask

From RDE version v3.55.1-15, the -F and -D options are assumed by default if neither is specified; if <filemask> is not specified, / is assumed by default.

Date and time information is referenced as absolute values with respect to the host device's internal clock: reported on the RDE side, it is taken as local date and time, then converted according to the host PC's current international settings.

Both folders and files, are always displayed with absolute path.

The display format for modern/classic general is defined in the general shell settings: for new shells created in RDE v3.55.1-16 (or later) the option to use FDIR modern is activated by default.

For each found item, both folder and file, all available information is displayed, such as attributes, size [bytes] (for files only) and name. Attributes are 8 characters (in specific column) having the following meanings:
