From R3 source, LOGIC input/output channels can be accessed via the keywords inp, out, inp_w, out_w.

Such access is immediate if the resource belongs to the motion controller, synchronous to the rules in case of fieldbus.

In case of Axioline (Phoenix modules side-by-side with RP-1) the update of inputs is immediate while outputs are synchronous to rules.

Some DI are able to call Interrupt as follows:

Model

DI channels

RP1 (AS1017.004)

The first 3 DI are capable of generating interrupts.
In R3, by means of the int_inp() function it is possible to execute code and/or snapshot the position of the axes

uRmc2 (AS1017.002

The first 3 DI are capable of generating interrupts.
In R3, by means of the int_inp() function it is possible to execute code and/or snapshot the position of the axes

uRmc3 (AS1017.003)

All 8 DI are capable of generating interrupts.
In R3, by means of the int_inp() function it is possible to execute code and/or snapshot the position of the axes

RBXM

The first DI channel of each board, provided the board is inserted in the first 6 slots, is capable of generating interrupts.
In R3, by means of the int_inp() function it is possible to execute code and/or snapshot the position of the axes. The AS5024.008 board has 8 inputs that can generate interrupts

NOTE: In case of a WD (watch dog relay) failure, the state of the outputs remains the last one set. On RBXM I/O boards, the behavior (reset/frozen) can be selected.
