File containing the advanced network (Ethernet port) configuration of the control (useful for RP2 axis control). It allows the IP address of the Ethernet channels to be specified. It must be in the alias folder NET_DIR or USER_DIR.

The configuration of such a file is available from RDE 3.53.1.

WARNING: This file is automatically generated based on the information entered in the Project Configurator--> IP Networks--> Enable advanced configuration (See IP Networks Settings for more details).

The file is automatically placed in the "files in flash" table. Obviously it will need to be transferred to the CF of the connected motion controller then it will be assumed at the next switch on.

NOTE: From the project configurator--> properties icon--> Configuration--> IP Networks, unchecking "Enable advanced configuration management" will generate the IPADDR.DEF file instead of the NETWORK.CFG file.

The Ethernet networks configuration will first search for the NETWORK.CFG file, if this file is not present then the IPADDR.DEF file will be searched. Typically these files are stored in the user directory, but you can also put them in the system directory.

ip_configuration

NOTE: To know the current TCP/IP address of the axis board, use the "ETH_INFO n" command from RDE environment shell tool.
