Axioline communication module for serial transmission, the interface can be parameterized as RS-485/422 or RS-232
NOTE: Only some information in the module data sheet is given below. Please refer to the data sheet itself for more details.
Connections
Input/Output Word
The module is allocated 6 INPUT WORD and 6 OUTPUT WORD:
The first INP_W indicates the number of valid characters received.
The second INP_W indicates the number of invalid characters received
The third INP_W indicates the number of characters transmitted
The last three INP_W are reserved Robox
The six OUT_Ws are not used
Configuration via axiobus
See Module Configuration via axiobus if you need to connect the module via axiobus.
At this point the module is associated with a serial port (in the example it will be 3 since the first two are already the RP-1's internal serials) and can be managed through the instructions and shell commands used for serial channels. (See Serial Communication).
Configuration via EtherCAT
See Module Configuration via EtherCAT if you need to connect the module via EtherCAT.
Specifically, when creating the axioline remote device, you must set the port, port type, and resource link under the "Terminals" window.
At this point the module is associated with a serial port and can be managed through the instructions and shell commands used for serial channels. (See Serial Communication).
