The procedure for setting an Ethernet address with Recovery main already loaded, for RP-0 and RP-2 controls, is as follows:

Connect the network cable to the control's ETH1 port

To force an IP address to communicate with, open the command prompt as administrator and type the command:

> arp -s aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa mm-mm-mm-mm (where aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa is the IP address to be forced and mm-mm-mm-mm is the MAC address of the control)

NOTE: The MAC address of the control can be found on the label on the side of it.

To enable communication, type the command:

> ping aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa

and wait for a response.

If everything went correctly you can check from the control display by going to 'Communication' and verifying that the address entered previously is on ETH1.

At this point you can load the desired version of RTE from the RDE shell, making sure you have deleted any corrupt versions present

NOTE: Use the SYSINFO command or D VE from RDE shell to view the current version of RTE.
