RDE provides users with comprehensive manuals designed to help them use all of its tools. There are several ways to consult such documentation:

Documentation Window

Indexing window of all available documentation already described in the general manual.

Tool manual

Manual of the instrument currently in use. It can be called from the menu via the Help/Manual xxx command (or hotkey F1) where xxx indicates the instrument in question (shell, monitor, oscilloscope, etc.) .

Contextual Help

Where available, locates within the various manuals where the topic indicated by the cursor is covered. It can be called from menus via the Help/Contextual Help command (or hotkey Ctrl+F1).

For example, if we are using the ascii editor and the cursor is on the WRITE_DIS instruction, pressing F1 will bring up the ascii editor manual; pressing Ctrl+F1 instead will bring up the topic related to that instruction within the R3 language manual (or other programming languages).

Field Help

Used mainly in the configuration dialogs of the various tools, it is used to explain the function of the individual boxes to be filled in. To view the description press the question mark in the upper right corner (next to the close button) then select the relevant field.
