This operation allows you to create a new object in the current workspace.

To activate it, from any workspace window, select from the menu the command Workspace/Create object... (or hotkey Ctrl+Shift+N).

The same operation can be activated from the context menu of the workspace window by selecting the New/Object... command from the context menu; in the same menu, there is a list of object types that can be created quickly (skip the settings window described below).

Once the object creation operation is activated, a prompt window will be displayed in which all the object types that can be created in the current workspace are listed: select the desired type, then provide the name (or accept the one proposed), the file name where provided, and optionally the description.

Press Create (or hotkey Enter) to create the desired object, or press Cancel (or hotkey Esc) to cancel the current operation.

Once creation is confirmed, an additional detailed initial configuration window may be prompted: this depends on each individual object type; refer to the relevant documentation for more information.

NOTE: each object has a unique name within the workspace it belongs to, so no two objects with the same name can be created.

NOTE: it is not possible to create an in-memory editor object related to a file if one with the same name already exists on disk: in this case, the file must be opened.

Created objects are persistent in the workspace, i.e., they remain until they are explicitly removed, even in the case of the closing of one's main user interface: editor-type objects (with some exclusions), which are automatically removed when one's main user interface is closed, make an exception to this.

Objects created in workspaces (with a few exceptions) are saved and reloaded with the workspace itself.
