It is a global window that allows you to define and use global bookmarks to the current workspace, easily, quickly and fully customizable.

To display it (or hide it if already visible), from any workspace window, select the View/Bookmarks window command from the menu (or hotkey Ctrl+Shift+B).

Bookmarks are organized into groups, which the user can define as desired: however, it is not possible to have groups within other groups.

Within a group the user can define or add an arbitrary number of files, either local to the workspace or external (in other locations, such as Windows SMB/CIFS network shares).

NOTE: the special Windows group is automatically populated with the list (sorted alphabetically) of currently open windows: default global windows are excluded from this list.

Operations

In the Bookmarks window, the available operations are as follows:

Activate (or hotkey Enter), to activate the selected bookmark.

New Group (or hotkey Shift+Ins), to create a new bookmark group.

New Files (or hotkey Ins), to add new files to the current group.

Copy (or hotkey Ctrl+C), to copy a bookmark or bookmark group

Paste (or hotkeyCtrl+V), to paste a bookmark or bookmark group

Cut (or hotkeyCtrl+X), to cut a bookmark or group of bookmarks

Delete (or hotkeyDel), to remove a bookmark or group of bookmarks

Show in resource explorer, to open the window to explore resources in the folder with already selected file (available only in Windows platform).

Properties (or hotkey Alt+Enter), to access the properties of the bookmark or a bookmark group

NOTE: Although the window is always available, bookmarking functionality is only available when there is an open workspace.
