The Microsoft Windows 8 (and later) operating system has an automatic block that prohibits the installation of device drivers having absent, invalid, or self-signed digital signatures.
In order to be able to install the Robox USB Link driver on Microsoft Windows 8, you must temporarily unblock this lock with the following instructions:
•From the side pop-up bar (right side), select the Settings icon;
•Select the Edit PC Settings button;
•In the list (left side), select the General item;
•In the list (right side), look for Advanced Startup (bottom of list) and select the Restart Now button;
•Select the Troubleshooting button;
•Select the Advanced Options button;
•Select the Startup Settings button;
•Select the Restart button and wait for the system to reboot;
•Press the F7 button (which corresponds to Disable Signature Driver Imposition) and wait for the system boot to complete;
•Install the Robox USB Link driver.
When the system is next rebooted, the lockout will automatically return but will no longer affect the drivers already installed.
NOTE: for operating systems later than Microsoft Windows 8, consult the documentation for the specific operating system.
